The pen feels good in your hand (it has a nice heft). It uses a Parker-style refill so you know that it writes like a dream. I love mine and everyone I show it to is impressed (a nice thing for us pen guys). Love good design? Love Porsche? Love pens? The finish on the caps, the metal portions just above the points (where one holds the pen) and the clips is terrible. He always carries these pens safely in a breast pocket, but the finish is peeling away significantly on all three pens. Please note that it is NOT being scratched off--it's peeling off. For what I paid for them (all 3 were gifts), there is NO WAY this should be happening. Whatever process the manufacturer is using to apply the finish, it's not lasting. Either that, or the finish is of much cheaper materials than it should be.The pens do have a nice feel and heft and write well, but the finish issue on the metal details is absolutely unacceptable. |
